It's just an arena style "fight several waves of mobs" kind of game that sets you back 2 waves if you die during the mission. For singleplayers Moxxies Underdome was the worst. The Armory was a great expansion, robolution was ok, rest was sub par. And I still think Borderlands and Borderlands 2 are amazing games.įor the first Borderlands I waited for the goty edition, even if that meant buying the full game again. Otherwise wait until more is revealed about the latter half of Season Pass 2 before committing your hard earned money. The new Tiny Tina DLC is the first I am mildly interested in. If you have that degree of faith that Gearbox will do right by you and deliver content worth the money you spent, go ahead and buy it. Don't get me wrong, I love Gearbox games but buying something with zero information about it? Now that's a hard sell. What content is in the Director's Cut we have absolutely no idea but are asked to pony up money for it as part of Season Pass 2. Whether it is for you is up to you to decide.Īs for Season Pass 2, we only know anything about the Designer's Cut. Essentially instead of farming like a traditional DLC, you have to play what amounts to a minigame for DLC5's legendaries. My two cents is that instead of adding things in, Gearbox took things *out* (your gear, skills and Guardian Ranks), threw in some new overpowered legendaries and called it a "new mode". Whether Arms Race is worth the price tag compared to that is up to your judgement. Sure they do not provide any extra end game content but they do bring some fresh new tools to the table. So unless your main is our Lady of Mecha Mayhem, it might be worth it for the skill trees alone. Some of them are bugged to all hell though. The new skill trees are all pretty good, except for Moze's which is a disappointment. Normally for this price you get one full story expansion which includes a "world" for you to explore in, quest lines, side missions and a set of new legendaries. Hate is because people don't want to pay more money for this game.įor the price of the Designer's Cut you get some cosmetics (maybe, you get them in the regular season pass as well), four new skill trees and the new Arms Race Mode. So shorter version: yes it's worth it (well at least for me), more guns, really nice new skill trees bringing lots of fun, one more DLC in spring. We don't have any details about DIRECTOR' S CUT so If you don't want to risk it, you can buy DLC's separetaly, unless you don't have final form cosmetics that are featured in SP2. But if You don't mind paying extra money, DESINGERS' s CUT features some really nice gameplay and new unique and very special weapons, also those new skill trees are really fun, and bring even more synergy between skill trees and more build diversity. People don't want to pay extra money for that season pass, since they paid 100 bucks for ULTIMATE DELUXE edition, plus they are mad because last DLC's felt shorter than ever and didn't give as much content as they expected, when they bought them. (And I understand them), but season pass 2 is more like a PREMIUM ADDITION to the game, for those loyal fans. SP2 is being hated because people, who bought the most expensive ULTIMATE DELUXE edition thought that they should get all content this game ever releases, however season pass 2 is not included in that bundle, so a lot of players feel being tricked by developers.
